Depending on how you use Return QR Tag, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email, phone, and profile information you provide when you register or claim tags.
• Order / request details — information you share when ordering physical tags or requesting digital tags (including via WhatsApp).
• Tag & item data — tag IDs, item descriptions, photos, and the public contact details you choose to show finders.
• Scan activity — when a tag is scanned we may receive time, approximate device context, and optional location if a finder chooses to share it.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device info, and basic usage logs needed to operate and secure the service.

• Provide, operate, and improve Return QR Tag services
• Process orders and digital tag requests, payments coordination, and email delivery
• Enable claiming, managing, and recovering tagged items
• Send scan notifications and service-related messages
• Respond to support requests and prevent abuse or fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

Finders who scan a QR tag only see information you choose to make public in the portal. We do not publish your home address by default. Optional location sharing requires the finder’s explicit permission at scan time.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted processors who help us run the service (for example hosting, authentication, storage, email, or payment coordination), and only as needed to provide Return QR Tag. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account data subject to legal and operational limits.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can update profile and public tag details in the portal, control what finders see, and contact us to access, correct, or delete personal data where applicable.

Return QR Tag is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised policy.
